DW/Chibianthro crossover tiem!

DW/Chibianthro crossover tiem!

WAIT WHAT DUDE WTF

No really,a crossover.Since I've been on quite a Dr Who spree those days,my crazy, crazy mind decided to crossover DW with the whole chibianthro thing.
Because I swear DW can crossover with absolutely anything!

Most of the time I'm going to use chibianthro!Ten,though I do have designs for the other Doctors.Thing is,I'm still very new to DW and Ten's the one of the docs I'm more familiar with.

Sooooowritefaggotry time! This one's pretty long so I'll dump it in separate posts

"It's always nice to have a quiet morning for once, huh," Ryougen mused to herself as she walked in the woods near Shimizu village. Ever since she and her friends thwarted Joubutsu and Shimedore's plans to destroy the world, Shimizu village was noisy with activity: Reuniting with Senpuu, completing with one very thrilled Tenyou; Chatting with people she met during the journey; Dealing with the media; Fixing up mishaps such as a drunk KiSai waging war on Sorouban because of a poker game("Turning back to normal didn't affect his drinking habits one bit" She thought)  or Kidaruma just being KidarumaAfter all that buzz, it seemed a bit odd to see the village being so quiet, even peaceful.

Tenyou was still very excited to see Senpuu come back, and was now busy chattering with her. Rezo was in his room, trying to figure out how to open a portal or something. Ryougen once tried to help, but Rezo had told her not to do so just yet, lest something goes wrong and result to stuff like her getting genderbent or summoning some elderich abomination. She knew this was one of those times when Rezo was being serious instead of just goofing around, so she decided to leave him be and go practice her signature move: The Zeami beam.

Well, that sure sounds rather boring right?Since she has just defeated two big bads alre-

Ryougen glared at the fourth wall,"It's called being prepared, and please get on with the plot."

Heh,sorry.ANYWAYS.After a few more minutes of walking, the dancer arrived at a small clearing."Perfect," she took a deep breath, closed her eyes and focused, mentally recalling her song. Red and blue flames started to float around her, gaining in size

*BOOM!*

The ground suddenly trembled, knocking Ryougen out from her trance. Her eyes snapped open, and she saw smoke trailing out from within the woods. Something has crashed into the woods. "Oh well, there goes my training," the dancer shrugged, then headed towards the crash.

She had already seen quite a lot of strange things during her long journey, but Ryougen couldn't help but stare dumbfoundly at the crash site. There was a rather large blue box standing in the middle of a small crater created by the impact, and trees lay splintered and burnt around it. The box was still smoking slightly, but aside from a few scratches and singed wood, it was undamaged. There was a light of sorts on the top of the box, and the four sides were similarily designed-divided in the middle, with windows and panels like a pair of doors. Only one side actually functioned as doors though, judging from the metal doorknob affixed on them. There were also signs, one black, long rectangular sign above the doors and another white, square one on one of the doors. She could see English symbols on them, and she mentally scolded herself for not learning how to read English yet.

Suddenly one of the doors swung open, and clouds of smoke billowed out, almost choking Ryougen who tried her best to fan away the fumes. A body fell out from inside the box, then the door quickly closed and locked with a click. Ryougen lightly prodded the figure, then carefully turned him over so he lay on his back. He was still alive, but unconcious, and he wore a pinstriped suit as well as a long brown coat, both scruffed yet undamaged. Ryougen was still a bit dazed from what just happened, but she knew he needed help. She hoisted the body on her back, then made a dash back to Shimizu village.

-----------------------

When Ryougen made it back to the village, she found Rezo still inside the village hall, or more specifically near the closed portal. The door-shaped portal was flanked by sculptures shaped like the Four Mythical Beasts, and in front of them stood a raised altar. Rezo was stooped over the altar, his eyebrows furrowed in deep thought as he continued to ponder how to open the portal.

Ryougen knocked at the door,  "Rezo?"

Rezo's head perked up in attention, "Oh hey Ryougen, back so early? I thought you were out training."

"Well, not this time" she shifted the still-unconcious figure around on her back, silently grumbling about how unusually heavy he was for a chibianthro, "I've found this cat fainted somewhere in the woods, he needs medical attention, and fast."

Rezo quickly glanced over the body, and nodded, "Alright, bring him to my room, I'll go get Senpuu," he then hurried out from the hall, leaving Ryougen to carry the figure to Rezo's house.

Soon, Senpuu caught wind of the situation, and went off to check on the stranger. She slipped into the room and quietly shut the door, so that she won't accidentally wake him up.

The stranger was lying on Rezo's bed, still knocked out cold. He stirred slightly every now and then, but remained fast asleep. His cat ears were flicked to the side, but his brown hair and sideburns remained stuck up in messy, gravity-defying spikes.

A quick go-through with Senpuu's magic confirmed that the stranger was uninjured, although he was fatigued and had some smoke in his lungs which needed time to dissipate. His breathing was a bit shallow, but otherwise more or less normal. Senpuu then placed an ear over the stranger's chest, and closed her eyes as she focused on listening to his heartbeat.

Dun dun dun dun

Dun dun dun dun

Senpuu's eyes snapped open in surprise. Instead of the usual "Lub dub, lub dub" heart beat she had expected to hear, she heard a four-beat pattern, as if there were two sets of heartbeats played out alternatively.

She rubbed her head, trying to make some sense over that. It couldn't be true, this contradicts with one of the most basic facts regarding chibianthro anatomy! There's no way that the cat in front of her could have!

Yet the evidence was as clear as day; she had heard those hearts beating in his chest with her very ears.

She gulped, what should she tell Rezo? And whono, -what-, is this stranger?

-----------------------
Stillhazy

The TARDISI knew she often acted up from time to time, but this was differentthis wasn't quite like something I had experienced before, which was unusual since I had travelled with her for more than 900 years by now

Am I in a different planet-no,dimensiona parallel unive-OWWWWWW!

A splitting headache jolted the Doctor awake from his thoughts. He was lying in bed inside a small room, without much furniture aside from the bed, a wardrobe and a drawer beside the bed. The Doctor tried to massage his temples, he had to focus

Wait. He couln't reach his head.

"What?!" he looked down at his arms, which were now much smaller than a normal human's. It lacked any fingers, instead ending with a rounded stump. Yet it felt flexible, as if it was a normal hand. "What?!!"
His legs looked similar to his arms, and overall he was much smaller than a human. He was also covered with a coat of very fine, beige-coloured fur. "WHAT?!!!"

The Doctor began to check his new appearance, mumbling absentmindly in the process, "Limbs are shortbody's shortbut my head feels as big as the rest of my bodyoh HEY I get to keep my clothes! And there you are, my Sonic Screwdriver, still in the same pocket! Now let's see if I can hol-oh OH that's how it works, it holds onto my hand like that! Brilliant! My face, my facegood, there's this conveniently placed washbasin here, now to take a looksame brown spiky hair (still not ginger though, argh!), same brown eyes but much larger than usualWaitaminute, how on earth did I get those animal ears?"

He immediately shut up when he heard the door being opened. In stepped three figures, all the same size and proportions as he was. One had large dragon-like ears with bells dangling beneath them, and a long red cape outlined with yellow. The other was light blue with brown dog-like ears, and she was wearing a white cape with a blue design on it. They were talking with the last figure, a cat wearing a red jacket, and sporting a pair of red-lensed goggles on his head. The Doctor resisted the urge to laugh,"Why do people like wearing those silly goggles anyways, we all know they do nothing," he thought.

The goggle-wearing cat waved at him, "Hey there, Ryougen told me what happened. Feeling better after a whole night's sleep?" the Doctor nodded, though he was still feeling a bit woozy. Surprising, he thought, considering how often he ends up crashing the TARDIS, he should be used to this by now,
"Uh yes I suppose I'm fine. Or at least as fine as one can be after getting his blue box crashed in the middle of nowhere, finding himself transformed into some talking animal-like creature and being rescued by other similar talking animal-like creatures. Well, I've been turned into a human temporarily before using the Chameleon Archspeaking of which is this its handiwork-er wait scrap that my memories are all intact, it's not the Arch. Good! I'm still me! Anyways, this is certainly something new since I no longer look like a human! Brilliant! Still feels strange though, like I've just eaten a pear or something. Ugh, I hate pears, never liked their taste. Now bananas are different, they're good, jam-packed with nutrients!"

The three only stared at the Doctor in confusion, trying to catch on the strings of words tumbling out from his mouth in 100 miles per hour. He flicked at his sideburns, slightly embarassed, "Whoops, am I rambling again? Normally somebody would have cut me off way before I went on for too long."

The cat sighed, then asked the blue figure, "How was he, Senpuu? Noticed anything unusual?"

Senpuu answered, "He wasn't injured, the coma was due to fatigue and breathing in too much smoke. But when I did a body check, I found something odd."

"Odd? Really?"

"Yes, Rezo. When I checked his heartbeat, It sounded very weird. I thinkI think he's got two hearts." Senpuu was still a bit unsure if it's the right thing to do, but she figured that Rezo had the right to know the truth.

Rezo gawked at Senpuu, who nodded slowly. He had known Senpuu for many years, and Senpuu rarely ever lied to anyone, much less to her sisters or to himself. That means what she had just said, no matter how unbelievable it sounds like, was true. He then stared at the stranger on the bed. On the outside, the cat looked just the same as any other chibianthro, surely he couldn't havenever mind. He shook his head, then spoke with a warm smile, "Well, even if the arrival seems rather odd, a visitor is still a visitor. Welcome to Shimizu village! Care to stay for a while?"

"Erm" thoughts raced through the Doctor's mind. He was still exhausted, but he needed to see what's wrong with the TARDIS

"It won't take long! Also, we've got the tea brewi-"

The Doctor quickly leapt out from the bed. He could check on the TARDIS later, it's always tea first!

A few minutes later, the four were sitting around a table in Rezo's house, drinking green tea from mugs. The Doctor missed the red tea he often drank back in Britain, but he figured this would suffice.

Rezo spoke first, "Sorry for not introducing ourselves first, I'm Rezo, and here's Ryougen and Senpuu. And you're?"

"Call me the Doctor."

"Doctor wh-"

"Just 'The Doctor' would be fine." (It's almost like another catchphrase now, he thought)

Ryougen raised an eyebrow, "Pretty odd name. You're not from around this world, aren't you? With that whole two-hearts thingIs that true?"

"Now that you askedYes, I'm not from around here. At least not in this particular planet, I'm not sure if I'm still in my own universe right now Wait wait wait what am I supposed to talk about again? Oh right, what am I and where I'm from. Here we go then, AHEM. I'm a Time Lord, from the planet of Gallifrey. As for the two hearts, it's part of our biology, actually. I can survive with only one working, but believe me, that was NOT a good experience. I've tried it before, never again. I mean, have you ever tried surviving with only half of your heart? It feels like that, maybe even worse."

"You said you're fromGallifrey? Never heard of that place."

"Wait, you don't know Gallifrey? You know, red larger-than-Earth planet in the constellation of Kasterborous? Doesn't ring a bell? Well, most humans don't know about Gallifrey either, but hey they don't even have intergalactic travel yet, so that's perfectly normal. Howeverweeeeelllll, this place clearly isn't Earth, my universe's Earth that is, and most of the other planets and stars do know about us far too well" Gallifrey and the Time Lords were pretty well-known across the galaxy, therefore The Doctor figured that he IS indeed in a different universe altogether. He licked his hand and waved it about in the air. Yes, definitely in a different universe. "So where am I now? Which country, planet, whatever?"

Senpuu piped up, "We don't really have different countries here. The whole world is called The 765th world. I've heard of others like the 573rd world, but we haven't found a way to connect to those worlds yet."

"Huh, so there are more than 700 worlds known to youpeople? Animals? That's brilliant, back in my universe we had billions of inhabited planets and stars, yet humans barely know about them! And now you lot know about so many! Ha, times sure has changed hasn't it?"

"Actually it's just word-play, we don't really have that many worlds."

"OhhhhAnd I thought I could explore that many worlds here"

Rezo seemed puzzled, "Why look so glum? We'll soon find a way to travel to those other worlds! By the waywhat's that blue box anyways? Ryougen told me earlier how she found you."

"Oh that's the TARDIS. It stands for Time And Relative Dimension In Space. Pretty nice name, and it also accurately describes her functions. I owe Susan one for that, she's the one who came up with it. I wonder how she's up to by now"

Senpuu's eyes widened, "You mean you actually travel through!"

"Yep, through time and space inside a police box. Been doing that for a long, long time now! Err, speaking of the TARDIScan someone show me where the TARDIS crashed? I need to check on her."

"Her?"

"Her. It'srather complicated. I'll explain later."

Ryougen looked unconvinced, "Actually, you do need quite a lot of explaining to do. First Senpuu found out that you've got two hearts, then you said that you're not from here but from this 'Gallifrey' place, and that you travel through time and space inside this TARDIS of yours. Not like I'm accusing you of lying, but all this sounds a bit too unlikely to be true."

The Doctor half-smiled, "Ah yes I understand, it's indeed quite difficult to believe all of that, especially when it's your first time hearing about it. Long story short, it's all true! One hundred percent! No time for full explanations though, I've got my TARDIS to tend to"

The dancer sighed, "Fine then, I'll show you where itshe was."

When he got back inside the TARDIS, he racked his head, trying to recall what happened before the crash. He remembered that he was on the way back to Earth from Barcelona for recharging the TARDIS, when the spaceship met some sort of dimensional rift near the Medusa Cascade, which sucked her in. Then it was all bumpy rides, crash boom bang, then himself blacking out. Normally the TARDIS had enough strength to overcome ordinary rifts, but this one was far too strong for her to escape from. Hopefully it would have closed by now, or else it could bring other aliens, or worse, his enemies into this universe.

Luckily, one of the screens still showed the area where the TARDIS met the vortex. The Doctor checked the screen, and froze.

The vortex was still there.

----------------------
Later that night

It was eerily quiet in the forest. Normally there would be owls, rodents and other nocturnal animals flying or scurrying around, but today they all hid, as if they sensed that something terrible was going to happen. The moon shone high in the sky, casting a cold, silvery light onto the deserted forest below.

The light began to waver, as a swirling vortex appeared. Several stone statues fell out, all winged and with their eyes covered by their hands. The vortex slowly closed and dissapeared, then the statues moved, swiftly yet silently, towards the city nearby.

Within the city

Even though it was way past midnight, the many bars and pubs in the city were still chock-full of people partying, drinking, dancing and having fun. A trio of visitors stumbled out one of the pubs, in various stages of drunkedness. They had been partying since the evening, and now they had to somehow make it back to the hotel.

"Man the booze here is awesome! Way better than the stuff we have back home!"

"Yeah, and I never thought you have a way with chicks!"

"Wha?"

"Errr,guys?"

"Duderemember how you were dancing on stage back there? Those chicks were likelikeI'm in loooove and stuff!"

"Guyyyys?"

"Oh right, that! See? I toldcha you hafta dance like a pro to get those gals!"

"Shaddup, you know I suck in dancing!"

"You jelly?"

"Grr"

"GUYS!!"

"WHAT???"

"When did all those weird statue things show up here? They look kindacreepy"

"Come on they're just statues! Nothing to be afraid of!"

"Hey,did those statues just move?"

"What, no way! Did the booze just get into your head?"

"He's right! I saw them move too! They're following us!"

"Maybe they'reI dunno, street performers?"

"Dude, street performers don't come out at night."

"Oh right."

"They're coming closer, I can feel it!"

"Oh cut out that crap already, statues can't m-"

"BEHIND YOU!!"

"WHAT THE-THEY'RE MOVING SO FAST!"

"OH GOD WHERE DID THAT ONE COME FROM?!!!"

"SOMEBODY HELP-"

*crack!*

The statues kicked the three corpses into a back alley, then stopped moving, hands once again covering their eyes.

The next morning, The Doctor woke up to find Ryougen and Senpuu having breakfast, together with a cat wearing a long leaf-like cloak. He strolled over and greeted them, "Morning! I love mornings, funny how the sunrise always looks so stunning, no matter where you see it! And this is?"

The cat smiled, "I'm Tenyou, Ryougen and Senpuu's younger sister! Are you the Doctor guy Ryougen met yesterday?"

"Yours truly."

"Great, maybe you have plenty of adventures to talk about! But I bet yours won't be as awesome as Ryougen's!"

Ryougen went pink, "Don't say that, it's nothing really"

"But you ARE awesome! Don't be modest!"

Before the two could continue arguing, Rezo barged in, holding some newspapers and having a very grim expression. "Have you heard the news? There's something wrong with AC City !" He spread the newspaper on the table, and everyone peered at it. The Doctor couldn't recognize the language, but he figured that the TARDIS would soon work out how to translate it. For now, all he could do was to listen.

Tenyou skimmed through the headlines and gasped in horror, "People getting murdered en masse in AC City?!"

The Doctor suddenly looked alarmed, "Mass murder? Is there anything strange in there? Anything out of place?"

Rezo pointed at part of the article, "It was said here that survivors saw moving stone statues, which attacked them. They also said that those statues killed people by breaking their necks."

"Moving stone statuesbreaking necks" the Doctor gulped. This could only spell one thing, one thing that he would rather not deal with ever again, given the chance.

The Weeping Angels.

Yet he knew that this was a problem only he could fix, at least in this universe. He cleared his throat, "I think I know what has caused those murders. Can someone take me there? I want to investigate."

Rezo raised an eyebrow, "You do know what's behind this?"

"More or less, especially when it involves oddities such as those moving statues you've just mentioned. You see, I've dealt with similar things before so many times, I might as well be called a weirdness magnet. Still, It's interesting to meet all those strange strange creatures though! And I do mean strange, we've got what? Living statues? Clockwork robots? Giant salt-shakers? Alien rhinos? Very very strange indeed! Again, can someone take me to AC city?"

Senpuu pulled out a map and replied, "AC City is right in this spot, but it'll take a week or so to walk there. Are you sure you have enough strength?"

"Don't worry, I can always use the TARDIS. I'll be there in no time!"

Ryougen said firmly, "Either way, we'll come with you, in case you get into any big trouble on the way."

"You're right, we'd better go together. Strength comes in numbers, after all. Although I don't really put that phrase into practise, most of the time I'm either alone or travelling with one or two companions. Maybe I should rethink my passenger number limit a bit. (However, deep inside he knew he was lying through his teeth. There was a reason why he never picked too many companions. During his journeys, his companionsalmost never had a good ending. But what else could he say right now?) Alright, everyone to the TARDIS! Allons-y!"

Everyone stared at the Doctor, "Allons-y?"

"It's my catchphrase!"

"Weirdest catchphrase ever."

"Tenyou!!"

"Whoops, did I say that out loud?"

"Aaaaanyways, let's get going."

-----------
Following the Doctor, the group were again at the crash site. Tenyou frowned in dissappointment, "So this is the TARDIS? I was expecting some futuristic-looking spaceship, not this rickety blue box."

"Well, I still couldn't figure out how to fix her chameleon circuit, so I have to leave her in this form," the Doctor rubbed the back of his head sheepishly, "Oh wait I think I did manage to temporarily fix it a long time ago, she just decided to revert back into the same blue box. I don't mind actually, I quite like this form of her."

Rezo had a different worry, "You know, this box seems a bit too small. You should fit in easily, but I don't think we can all cram inside a space this small"

"That won't be a problem, Rezo!" the Doctor took out a key from one of his coat pockets, then unlocked the door, "Come in!"

They found themselves inside a ridiculously large circular room, with a metallic, riveted floor, copper hexagon-patterned walls and coral-like columns reaching the ceiling, from which hung a messy bundle of wires and cables. There was a control panel in the centre covered with a strange and somewhat random assortment of dials, buttons, levers, as well as some odd machines and gadgets. Above it was another column filled with a greenish, slightly glowing liquid and what seemed to be a pumping system immersed within it. The whole room hummed gently, and the floor seemed to pulse under their feet. Tenyou immediately dashed off to explore and Ryougen followed to keep an eye on her, leaving Senpuu and Rezo with the Doctor.

Rezo jawdropped, "Thisthis"

The Doctor raised an eyebrow, amused, "Yes?"

"This is impossible"

"You know, I was expecting something along the words of 'bigger on the inside', but that's another way to put it! And no, it's not impossible. Just some space-dimension-warping mechanism, along the words of the TARDIS' exterior and interior existing in separate dimensions, basic stuff."

Rezo continued to bombard The Doctor with more questions about the TARDIS, and the latter replied with strings of rapidly-fired technobabble (which I don't bother typing out here) while setting up the spaceship for the trip to AC City. Senpuu finally interrupted with a more relevant question, "Um, about those murdersDo you think those moving statues have something to do with it?"

"You're brilliant, Senpuu! Just brilliant! You see, those statues are not actually statues, but a race of aliens called the Weeping Angels," he suddenly looked a lot more serious, much different than his usual cheerful self, "They're also known as the Lonely Assassins, and they have existed since the creation of the universe. To survive, they have developed a very unique behaviour: They're quantum locked. When any living creature looks at them, they freeze, becoming stone statues. But if they aren't being observed, even by a fraction of a second, they make their move. Normally they feed on their victims' potential energy, sending them back in time in the process. But this time? Looks like they're not in the creative mood, and decided to just break their necks instead."

"So what can we do when we see one?"

"To be honest, there is not much we can do. After all, you can't kill a stone statue, right? All I can say is, keep staring at them. Don't turn back, don't look around and don't blink. Ever. Those things move incredibly fast, faster than anybody can, so blink! And you're dead. Once again, do. Not. Blink."

"Uh, how did you know so much about those Weeping Angels?"

"It's simple. They're from my world too, I've encountered them before. Last time they managed to steal my TARDIS, and grounded me somewhere in the past. The year1969 I think? At least I got someone to help send her back to me, or else I'll have to stay there for who knows how long. Well, I'm not going to let those Angels do the same this time!"

"What are you three talking about?" Tenyou and Ryougen came back to meet the rest. Tenyou was about to blabber about everything she saw on the TARDIS (there's a pool in here!) but she kept her mouth shut after reading the atmosphere.

Senpuu quickly gave them an abridged version of the Doctor's explanation of the Weeping Angels, and the two nodded, "When we see those things, don't blink. Got it."

The Doctor pulled a lever, "And here we go, to AC City! Allons-y!"

*VWORP VWORP VWORP*

The TARDIS gave a sharp lurge, knocking everyone to the floor. Something rolled out from Rezo's jacket pocket towards the Doctor, who picked it up, "What's this? Looks like a red gem or something."

Rezo answered, "That's one of the gems on Shimedore's cloak, Ryougen said it was the only thing left behind when she defeated him."

"Shimedore?"

"An evil deity who wanted to use his powers to remold this world into a world of darkness. He called himself The God of Bonds, if I remember correctly."

"God of Bonds, huhpretty pompous name, but who am I to complain, I've been given titles such as the Oncoming StormAnyways, perhaps this gem might be useful, I wonder what it does" the Doctor took out his Sonic Screwdriver and tapped the gem with it. The gem glowed briefly, and he could feel a slight distortion in space-time. Interesting. He pocketed the gem, maybe it will turn out to be a Chekov's gun.

*VWORP VWORP VWORP*

More jerks and lurges later, the TARDIS stopped moving. Ryougen opened the door and cautiously peered out, "We're here, although it's off by a few yards."

"My bad, didn't quite enter the coordinates correctly."

Everyone left the TARDIS, and in front of them was AC City. Everything seemed normal at first, with windows fully lit on the many buildings around the city, and multicoloured neon signs constantly flashing its slogans.

However, something was very very off about the city. It was unnaturally quiet, devoid of its usual hustle and bustle when people went around with their normal routines. The only sounds were the faint whistling of the cool morning breeze, and a low scraping sound that set everybody's nerves on edge

The sound of stone against ground.

Namely, stone from the many statues now dominating the city. Aside from the statues, there was no other living creature on site. AC City was now deserted.

Senpuu recoiled in horror, her face rapidly going pale, "The statues! T-They're everywhere! We can't go in there!"

"Hey, we'll be fine, just keep staring at them and they can't move an inch!" Tenyou gave her a reassuring pat.

She gulped, "Problem is, they outnumber us. Even if we can keep some of them immobile, the rest are still able to move!"

Rezo pointed out something else, something even more horrifying, "We'll talk about them later. But first, anyone noticed that there's nobody in the city?"

Tenyou agreed, "Yeah that's pretty odd, since Ryougen once said that this city was one of the most crowded ones out there. Maybe they were all evacuated from the city?"

The Doctor nodded, "Maybe" he added quietly, "Or they could be all dead, killed by the Angels. They're quite smart in hiding bodies," he desperately hoped that Tenyou was correct, that the remaining citizens were safe and sound. Yet he knew that it was only a false hope. Like all Time Lords, the Doctor had the ability to see into the past, and he had just seen the fates of the missing citizens. The Angels had made short work of them, every single one.

Senpuu heard him though, and whipped around to face him, "They're all dead?!"

"Uhwell, It's just a guessWe have to prepare for the worst case scenario, after all" the Doctor tried to look optimistic, putting on one of his usual cheerful smiles.

Senpuu was, however, an expert in reading expressions. And she could easily sense that the Doctor was lying. Even though the Time Lord was smiling, his eyes still showed a tinge of guilt and sadness, "No, I can see it in your eyes. You knew what had happened to them, and your 'guess' was in fact the truth."

"As much as I hate to say it, you're right. I saw them fall, one by one, in my mind's eye. I'm sorry."

Tenyou remembered something, "Wait, Doctor? You said that you're a time-traveller. Can't you just go back in time and stop all this from happening?"

"Normally yes, but this time I can't. History can indeed be rewritten and I've done it before, but there are certain events in the timeline which can't be altered, called fixed points in time. As it turned out, the Angels' attack on AC City is one of those fixed points," the Doctor bowed his head, "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. The citizens were all gone now, and I can't do anything about them."

"Either way, we have no choice here. We -have- to get in."

"But Ryougen-!"

"We have to find a way to defeat the Weeping Angels, or else they might spread to the other areas! We've seen what they can do to a whole city in such short time, and we can't let them do the same to the whole world!" the dancer's face looked grim, but her eyes showed a glimmer of firey determination.

Rezo summoned his hammer, "She's right, we've got to stop them. Like the way we always do it: Trial and error! Plus making up plans on the fly!"

The Doctor also pulled out his Sonic Screwdriver, and the haunted look on his face vanished without a trace, "Making up plans as we go? That's more like it, I like the way you think! Now stick together and be careful, we're going in."

"YOU FIVE OVER THERE! STOP! This city is off limits, nobody is allowed to go in!" Blocking their way was an officer, brandishing a police baton and waving the other hand as if to shoo people away.

After some rummaging, the Doctor took out a small ID tag and handed it to the officer, "Sherlock, private detective. The police asked me to help investigate the case," he would have gone for his usual 'John Smith' alias, but he figured that it was best to follow whatever naming convention this universe has.

The officer peered at the card. He couldn't recall any private detectives around the region, much less one with a name this cliche. But the card looked so authentic"What about the rest of you?"

Rezo decided to play along, "We're from Shimizu Village, Sherlock asked us to be his temporary assistants."

The officer gave back the card and shook his head, "Still, no can do. Orders say that nobody can go in, not even detectives."

"But-"

"I'm sorry. Thing is, we can't risk any more casualties."

The Doctor raised his voice, "Exactly! That's why I have to go in! To fix things up before any more people get hurt or even killed by those statues!"

Ryougen prodded him and asked, "You know, there are other routes leading into the city. Can't we just use those?"

"I've checked, the other routes are all blocked by the Angels. This is the only somewhat safer way in."

The dancer sighed, they were being blocked by red tape, of all things. The intentions were good, but still!

Tenyou suddenly yelled, "Guys! Stop arguing! I think they've spotted us!"

-------------------
Everyone looked up in alarm. Tenyou was right, the group of angels nearest the exit were moving aimlessly a while ago, but now they all faced the exit. Some of them remained frozen because they were being observed, but the others started to move towards the exit, gaining speed as they went.

"Everybody RUN!! Get back to the TARDIS!" The group immediately bolted, with the Angels in hot pursuit. Suddenly, Tenyou could hear the officer cry out. He had sprained his ankle, and has now slowed to a limp as he tried to endure the pain. She shouted, "Wait! Someone's injured!"

"No time to stop! Keep running!" Rezo yelled back. It was not something he would have approved of, leaving someone behind like that. However, under this circumstances there was no other choice.

"We can't just leave him to the Angels!"

"No wait, I'll help him as much as I can, the rest of you get back to the TARDIS!" the Doctor quickly offered.

He swerved around and began to run back to the officer, but it was too late.

*crack!*

The Angels continued their pursuit, forcing the Doctor to turn and run in his original direction. Meanwhile, the scenes of the Angels' attack replayed in his mind, from the statues' snarls to the victims' terrified screams as claws meet neck. First all those citizens living in AC City, and now another innocent lay victim to the Angels. He blinked back his tears, being reminded of how many people had been hurt or killed in front of him during his 900-and-counting life. And to make matters worse, he knew that he couldn't do anything about it. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't save everyone.

Now all he could do was to catch up with the rest, get everyone to the TARDIS and figure out how to defeat the Weeping Angels.

However, the Angels proved to be much quicker than the group. Within seconds, the statues had them surrounded. Everyone stood in a tight circle, each staring fearfully at the statues in front of them. The statues were no longer covering their eyes, instead they stretched their arms out as if to grab their victims. Their faces, once serene, were now twisted in a terrifying snarl, revealing rows after rows of pointed teeth. Ryougen shouted, "Don't forget what the Doctor said! Stare at them, don't look around and don't blink!"

More than ten minutes had passed since the Angels had trapped Rezo, the Mai siblings and the Doctor. The group had kept the statues in bay, staring intensely at them while their hearts beated rapidly against their chest. Their eyes began to water, as the group struggled to keep them wide open despite the strain on their eye muscles. Tenyou was panicking, "My eyes hurt! I can't keep them open any longer! We need a plan! Anything that can help us get out from this! Got any ideas? Anyone?"

"We're on it!" both Rezo and the Doctor set their minds in motion. If there's anything the two have in common, it's improvisation and Indy Ploys. And they had to do just that.

The Doctor was for once at a lost. The Angels could be kept frozen in place by making them look at each other, or by making them look at their own reflection. However, it was still too risky to move, and the group do not have anything reflective with them. He had his Sonic Screwdriver with him, but last time he checked, it had no effect over the Angels whatsoever.

"Think, Doctor! Think!" he thought, "You've dealt with worse problems than this! You can't be stopped by a bunch of statues, no matter how dangerous th-"

"I've got an idea! OK Senpuu, since you're looking at the statue beside meblink. Now," the Doctor's train of thoughts was forced to a stop by someone having an eureka moment. That someone was Rezo, judging from the voice and the urgent yet excited tone.

"What?!! But it'll move!"

"That's exactly what I want it to do! Just blink!"

Senpuu was about to protest, but she decided not to. Rezo's plans may seem to be insensible or even crazy at times, but his plans had saved the Mai siblings from many sticky situations in the past. She had trust on him, and this time was no exception.

She blinked.

Instantly, the statue came to life and lunged for her, snarling and claws extended. In that split second, Rezo also made his move. He whipped out his hammer, then swung it with all his strength towards the now-animated Angel, while maintaining eye contact with the Angel in front of him.

*SMASH*

The hammer's blow sent the Angel crashing to the ground, cracks snaking up its surface. The statue tried to pull itself back up, but another smash of the hammer broke it up into pieces of stone. Rezo also blinked, then immediately brought his hammer down at the other Angel, "Those Angels are indestructible when they're not moving, but it's possible to hurt them when they are!"

The Doctor's eyes widened. He had never thought of that before! He was a pacifist who avoided violence as much as he could, but against those Angels which would have killed him rather than listen to him reason? This might be the only option.

-------------
Hearing Rezo, the Mai siblings also blinked, then started to attack the Angels. Ryougen sent a fierce barrage of flames at a nearby Angel, but the statue shrugged the attack off and lunged. She quickly reeled back, as more statues started to surround her. Tenyou was also raining lightning over the statues, yet she too couldn't make a dent on them. Senpuu came to the rescue, pulling up a barrier around herself and her sisters with magic. Ryougen yelled in frustration, "Rezo! Why aren't our attacks working?!"

Rezo whacked away the Angels surrounding the sisters, then answered while panting for breath, "Thosethose are STONE statuesmagicwon't workyou need bludgeoning weapons" He parried an Angel trying to sneak in an attack, then he was again in the battlefield.

The sisters stared at each other. Ryougen's spear and Tenyou's katanas were far from being bludgeoning weapons, and Senpuu did not even have a weapon. What could they do now?

Meanwhile, the Doctor was running as usual, weaving around the statues as quickly as his short legs could take him. He was employing a tried-and-true method: Tricking them into looking at each other. After all, he was the main target of the Angels, so he's the perfect bait. Moreover, he wasn't exactly a fighting type of person in the first place. However, the Angels had smartened up since the last time he faced them. The statues deftly avoided each other's gazes as they continued to give chase.

The Doctor had no choice but to fall back and seek help from Rezo. So far, he was the only one with a weapon capable of damaging the statues. The hammer-wielding cat was very exhausted, especially when such a large hammer wasn't exactly the lightest weapon around. He did his best to smash as many Angels as possible, but it seems like more and more of them poured out endlessly from the city. Over time, his swings became weaker, often relying on the weight of the hammer to deal damage. Rezo himself was breathing heavily, gripping his weapon with trembling hands. He was still a warrior to be reckoned with, but age could really take a toll on one's strength and stamina.

The Doctor grabbed Rezo, while holding his Sonic Screwdriver out in a menancing way. He knew it won't do anything against the Angels, but that's all he could do unless both of them could get help. He called out, "Senpuu! Got any more room in there? Both Rezo and me need to bail out for now!" Senpuu nodded and closed her eyes, channeling more of her powers, causing the barrier to glow and expand. The Doctor ran in, dragging Rezo with him. Once the two made it into the barrier, they collapsed on the ground with a loud thunk.

Rezo leaned on his hammer, still panting, "That'slike aextreme version ofwhack-a-mole" He chuckled, though in a more nervous way than he usually did.

Ryougen mentally facepalmed. Only Rezo could come up with such a metaphor.

Tenyou went to take care of Rezo while Ryougen aided Senpuu, who was straining to hold up the barrier. Her face was scrunched in concentration, and her arms were trembling slightly from channeling her magic. Outside, more and more Angels surrounded the barrier, pounding it restlessly.

The Doctor eyed the barrier, which seems to be holding itself well despite the statues' efforts, "Ooh, a barrier capable of blocking the Angels! Fascinating! I could do with one of these, in case I happen to lose my TARDIS to them like last time. So much for careless old me."

"Yeah, Senpuu said that it's the most powerful warding spell she's able to cast. I don't see her use it a lot though, maybe it's too energy-demanding." Both Ryougen and Senpuu were too busy maintaining the barrier, so Tenyou answered instead.

The Doctor pressed a button on his Sonic Screwdriver, and held it up briefly against the barrier. His eyes lit up when he studied the readings of the device, then he twisted it a few times, pressed a few more buttons and held it up once again. The barrier's glow gained a blueish tinge, and Senpuu found it no longer draining her energy. She asked, bewildered, "Wh-what happened?"

"Oh, I just used my Sonic Screwdriver," the Doctor stated matter-of-factly.

"Sonic what?"

"Sonic Screwdriver. It'sa screwdriver! Only it's sonic! Does things like opening locks, locking doors, fixing stuff, hacking stuff, breaking stuff, detecting stuff, switching stuff on and offoh, and it's also an actual screwdriver. Doesn't do wood though, nor is it effective against the Weeping Angels. Maybe that's because I'm using an older model of the screwdriver, but I'm pretty much used to this one, deal with it," he gave the screwdriver, a silver pen-like object with a blue gem on one end, a twirl.

"So what did you do with the barrier?"

"Wellwhen I first did a quick scan of the barrier, I found that it makes use of a kind of energy very similar to the Artron energy used by the Sonic Screwdriver and the TARDIS, only morearcaney than wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey. I can therefore set the screwdriver to convert some of its energy into the arcaney kind, and use that to power the barrier. It's not permanent, but it'll keep the barrier running for quite a while," he held up the device. Its gem was gently pulsing with the same blue colour as the barrier, and emitted a low, soft hum.

Rezo cleared his throat, "Alright, here we're somewhat safe for nowI think it's time to think up an effective strategy. I'm the only one with a weapon capable of hurting the Angels, butwell, I'm not quite as strong as I used to be"

Ryougen pondered, "Maybe we can take turns using your hammer? That way, we don't have to worry about stamina."

"Are you sure? Warhammers aren't exactly easy to wield, especially when you three aren't trained in using heavy weapons"

"Still, we've got to try. Our village needs you, we can't just let you overexert yourself like that!"

"It's alright, Ryougen. I'm fine, all I need is a bit of rest and I'm good to go. You don't really have to worry about me."

Tenyou sighed, "But we just want to help! Don't tell me we can only sit around in here and do nothing because we can't hurt those statues!"

Senpuu asked, "I think we should go back to the village and get some proper weapons first. Doctor, is it possible to summon your TARDIS here?"

The Doctor started to fiddle around with the settings of the Sonic Screwdriver, "Usually I just leave the TARDIS somewhere and pick her up later on, but I suppose I can call her to come over here. Let's seeSenpuu, care to support the barrier again? I'll need my Screwdriver for this."

Senpuu did so, once again channeling her magic. The Doctor pressed another button on the screwdriver, and waited.

Nothing happened.

"What?!" he pressed the button again, resisting the urge to curse out loud.

Still, nothing.

He kept pressing, fervently wishing that the TARDIS would listen to his call. Yet there was no familar wooshing sound, no big blue box materializing, nothing.

He slumped over, dejected, "Nonot again"

"What?? What 'not again'??"

"The Angels! They're trying to get into the TARDIS, so she locked herself automatically! Those statues can't get into her, but that means I can't call her using the screwdriver!"

As if things couldn't get any worse, the barrier started to give way after enduring the constant pummeling from the Angels. Its glow became fainter as it slowly deteriorates.

"NO!!" Senpuu poured in her power, frantically reciting spells in a bid to reinforce the barrier.

But the barrier paid no heed to her efforts. The group could only stare in horror as the barrier dissapeared in front of their eyes.

The Angels immediately lunged, claws slashing, the moment when the barrier broke up completly. Ryougen swiped Rezo's hammer from its perch, ignoring the goggled cat's protests, and swung it at the statues. She was still unfamilar with it though, and often staggered a bit after each swing. The Doctor stood beside her, with his Sonic Screwdriver held tightly. Senpuu and Tenyou stood behind, keeping Rezo protected within the circle formed by the four.

Ryougen may be a renowned warrior, but a warhammer couldn't offer the same speed and flexibility of her trusty spear. Instead of using her usual fare of speedy, precise strikes and dance-like footwork, Ryougen had to sacrifice mobility to add strength to her attacks and to keep her balance. Unfortunately, this also meant that she had trouble blocking the speedier Angels. One of the statues saw its opportunity, shooting out a clawed hand to grab Ryougen's neck.

Out of instinct, the Doctor slid in between the two, then jabbed a button on the screwdriver. Out blared a high-pitched, ear-piercing whine, causing everyone to cover their ears in pain. Even the Angels reeled back, momentarily ceasing their assault. The Doctor grinned widely, "So the sonic can stall the Angels now! Brilliant! Just brilliant! Ha, that's what you get for taking the forms of non-humans, enhanced hearing leads to more damage from the sonic!"

"Doctorswitch it offare you trying to make us deaf here?" the rest of the group were glaring daggers at the Doctor, while continuing to cover the ears.

"Ehh heh, sorry" he switched off the sonic. The Angels quickly gathered themselves, and were about to continue attacking when a low rumbling could be heard, slowly increasing in intensity. The group saw something large thundering towards them, complete with a cataphonic mixture of noises.

That something soon revealed itself to be

"Cats?" the group jawdropped as a swarm of cats steamrolled into the battlefield, clawing, biting and climbing over the statues. Their attacks didn't hurt the Angel's stone surface one bit, but they kept most of the Angels occupied. Moreover, those cats were oddly durable. Even if they were thrown forcefully, they were able to continue fighting as if nothing happened.

Still, more and more Angels managed to escape the horde of cats, and once again surrounded the group. Everyone readied themselves, preparing for the worst.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA~" there was an unearthly scream, a scream Ryougen could recognize easily. Could it be?

*SMASH*

A huge, white blur shot out from the side, slamming onto one of the Angels. The blur was actually a giant paw, belonging to a giant white cat. A very familar giant white cat. Two more copies of the same cat joined the fray, and they together laid waste to the statues,
"What?! WHAT?! Waitwhathow?!" the Doctor couldn't believe his eyes, those giant cats were so thin on the side, they might as well be made of paper. Yet their strikes were far too solid and damaging to be that kind of material.

"They're the Saitama monsters, looks like paper cutouts, but nowhere near as flimsy," Senpuu explained. She scanned the surroundings, "First cats, and then the Saitama monstersThose three should show up by now"

Speak of the devil, a trio of cats ran up to the group. They all wore white hats with some sort of face on them, and had simple white outfits. The eldest had an unusually long green scarf, reminding the Doctor of his fourth incarnation. The other male cat was clearly drunk, and was now chugging away from a large bottle of sake. The only female of the trio had blue ribbons on her hat and dress. She asked worriedly, "Anybody hurt? And what was with all those moving statues in here?"

"It's you guys! Thanks for your help!" Tenyou dashed over and gave her a bear hug. The Doctor still had a head full of question marks, "You know those three?"

"Sure we do! Doctor, meet the Saitama siblings!"

"Doctor? Just like that? Does he have an actual name?" the female cat asked, puzzled. Meanwhile, Rezo ordered the horde of cats to keep the Angels from moving.

"Just like that. 'The Doctor', with no strings attached. Who says people can't use a title for a name, anyways? 'The Doctor' is a fine name if you ask me."

The sake-drinking cat took another swig and grumbled, "Really, sis! Now isn't the time for introductions!"

The Doctor chuckled, "Nah, it's always time for introductions, even when we're surrounded by living statues out to kill us! In fact, it might as well be the best time, nothing spells surreal more than acting so casual in the face of danger! What's your names?"

The female pointed at herself, "I'm Saitama, and these are my brothers. Kitasaitama, KiSai for short," she gestured at the middle sibling, who waved halfheartedly with his sake bottle, "and Matasaitama, sometimes called Mataima," Mataima said nothing, and only briefly shook the Doctor's hand.

Tenyou cut in, "Wait, how did you guys know that we're in trouble?"

"One of Saitama's cats heard someone calling for help from here," Saitama explained.

"Calling for help? But we didn't!"

Rezo asked, "How does it sound like?"

KiSai smirked, "Don't tell me you called for help without knowing it," Mataima glared at him, and he shrugged, "Hey, you know I start snarking when I'm drunk."

"KiSai, you're always drunk. Your argument is invalid."

"Point taken. Anyways, the help signal sounds very high-pitched, like a squeal or something."

"You mean like this?" the Doctor pressed a button on the Sonic Screwdriver, emitting the same loud whine as before. The others quickly protested, so he flicked the device off to prevent causing any ear damage.

Saitama rubbed her ear, trying to recover from the sudden burst of sound, "Exactly. That's the help signal."

"Ah, that means my Sonic Screwdriver's sonic just happened to sound like what you call a distress signal? Looks like we're lucky!" the Time Lord stowed away the device, then studied the giant cats which saved them earlier. They were indeed as thin as paper, and they seemed to maninfest from the Saitama siblings' shadows, "Also, about those catsare they really that thin, or is this an illusion they employ to give the impression that they're made of paper? Technically, creatures made from paper aren't capabable of making that much damageOh wait, they couldn't be the Vashta Nerada, could they? Tell me they aren't, the results weren't pretty the last time I dealt with themHmm, perhaps not. If they were, they would have eaten all of us up by now."

"The Saitama monsters? I dunno, it's probably magic or some weird shit I ain't gonna explain," KiSai drawled out between drinks from his bottle, "We just summon those guys, we don't actually create them. Soyeah."

"Hmm, maybe thoseSaitama monsters, you call them?are able to compress their mass into such a small volume, or it could be manipulations of mass and space, a bit like how the TARDIS is bigger on the inside" the Doctor stopped, his words trailing off. He then smacked his forehead, or rather tried to do so, "Oh right! The TARDIS! I'm such a thick thickety thickface, I almost forgot about her!" He sprinted off, muttering "Can'tletthemtakehercan'tletthemtakehercan'tletthemtakeher" frantically under his breath. The others looked at each other, shrugged, and followed suit.

Soon, they arrived at the end of the pathway, where the Doctor last parked the TARDIS. The blue box was still there, but it was surrounded by the Weeping Angels. Those which were nearest the TARDIS were violently shaking the box, in an attempt to force it open. The rest stood guard, unmoving.

The Doctor's eyes flashed with anger, and his fists clenched, "Oh no they don't, they can't treat my TARDIS like a salt shaker! Do that to the Daleks instead!"

"Daleks?" Everyone else stared at him in confusion.

"Er, ignore them for now. But first! We've got to get into the TARDIS before THEY do so!"

"And what's your plan?"

"Didn't have anything in mind. We justuh, run! Run in there!"

"That's what we've been doing for almost the whole day!"

"That's actually normal. Nine times out of ten, travelling with me involves running. Lots of running."

------------
Ryougen and the Saitama Siblings ran ahead, using their weapons (Rezo's hammer, KiSai's ridiculously durable sake bottle and Mataima's transforming scarf), Saitama's army of cats and the Saitama monsters to clear a path towards the TARDIS. The Doctor fished out a small key, then followed the four. Next were Senpuu, Tenyou and Rezo. Senpuu created another barrier, but it was only large enough to protect the three.

Still, all that running and combat had put pressure on everyone's stamina. Ryougen was starting to feel exhausted, and more than once barely avoided getting her neck grabbed. The Saitama siblings, being newcomers, had enough strength to dodge the Angels' attacks, or to block them using the Saitama monsters.

The cats, however, weren't so lucky. This time, the Angels didn't hesitate to grab them and break their necks. Saitama strived to save as many cats as she could, but some of them still met a painful end. She understood that those cats weren't exactly alive in the first place (they're the same cats from Niihyaku cave), but she had a hard time holding back her tears as muffled cries from the cats rang around the group.

Thankfully, there weren't a lot of Angels at the moment, so it didn't take the group much time to reach the TARDIS. The Doctor immediately dashed towards the blue box, inserted the key, and tried opening the door, "What the! I can't open it with the key!"

Ryougen pulled up beside him, her patience weaning, "Don'tdon't tell me you've got the wrong key"

The Doctor continued to struggle with the lock, frantically turning the key or occationally using the Sonic Screwdriver on it. Still, the door refused to open, "Come on, old girl! It's me, the Doctor! Just let us in,OK?"

This time, the Saitama siblings were the ones to be confused, "You'retalking to that box?!!"

"It's not any old box, it's the TARDIS and she's alive. I'll explain later," he rattled the lock, "Please, TARDIS! Don't let me down!"

After what seemed to be hours (it's actually just 15 minutes or so), the door finally opened. The Doctor, Rezo and the Mai sisters clambered in, while the Saitama siblings lingered outside. Senpuu called out, "Get in the TARDIS! You'll be safe!"

Saitama protested, "But my cats! There won't be enough room for all of them, and I just can't leave them here!"

"Don't worry, they'll all fit in! Come in quick!"

Before Saitama could answer, Mataima took matters into his own hands. His scarf turned into giant claws once more, and grabbed Saitama and KiSai. Meanwhile, he kicked into gear and ran, barreling into the box with siblings in tow. Then the remaining cats ran in, and crowded around a still dazed Saitama. Afterwards, the doors slammed shut and locked itself with an unceremonious click.

The Doctor propped himself against the main console and sighed with relief, "It's good to be back here"

Mataima looked around, "Wellthat was quite unexpectedthis room is"

The Doctor grinned, "Go on, say it"

"Bigger on the inside. There, I said it. Though I'm not as surprised, considering how the Saitama Monsters can pull off something similar."

The Doctor deflated visibly, "Nothing ever surprises you anymore, doesn't it?"

"To be honest, that's what living with the Niisens do to you. They'requite dysfunctional at times," Mataima sighed, at least his siblings only had to live with the mortal niisens. Him? He also had to deal with the pantheon, which was even more tiring work.

Saitama looked up, worry still etched on her face, "Doctor? Willwill those Angels get in here?"

"Not to worry, Saitama! Nothing can force their way into my TARDIS, not even a whole army! No really, Genghis Khan did try that once and failed!"

Just when everyone felt somewhat safe, the TARDIS lurched sharply, knocking the group off their feet. The spaceship was shaking violently, and everyone had to grab the pillar nearest to them (in the Doctor's case, it was the control panel) "What the-! What's happening??" Saitama shouted while trying to get her cats to calm down.

"The Angels! A while ago, they're shaking my TARDIS to get into her, and now they're doing it to get US out!" the time-traveller was trying to keep his balance while tinkering with the controls, "Don't worry though, they can't get in, no matter what!"

KiSai was, surprisingly enough (or not very surprisingly enough, since he's all drunk and stuff), having no trouble staying firmly on his feet despite all that shaking. He strolled up and prodded the Doctor with his sake bottle, "Oi Doc, you've got a way to get rid of those statue things right? We can't just stay here and get tossed around like that!"

The Time Lord pondered, "WelllllI do have a bit of an ideaThe Angels appeared in this universe via a dimensional rift from my universe. So technically, if I could somehow create a new dimensional rift here, I can send the Angels through said rift back into my universe or at least to another universe where I can deal with them without endangering anyone here."

"That's what you're doing right now?"

"In a way yes, but I'm in a bit of a hitch here. You see, I've been caught up in dimensional rifts countless of times before, but I rarely ever deliberately create one myself, much less one that connects between two universes this far from each other. After all, although the multiverse shares the same Time Vortex, they are still separated by strong boundaries which are not meant to be broken. It's not impossible, but I need a tremendous amount of energy and  some serious reprogramming on the TARDIS' vortex manipulator to make it work. I have no problem doing the latter of course, but where oh where do I get a suitable power source? A thunderbolt? No that won't work, maybe it does on a DeLorean, but definitely not on my TARDISHmmmmm" the Doctor instinctively reached to ruffle his own hair, but thought better and settled on pulling his sideburns instead.

Something inside Rezo's mind clicked. The Doctor needed energy, specifically the kind related to travelling between dimensions. Perhaps"Doctor? What about Shimedore's gem? Maybe you can use that."

"Of COURSE! The gem! Rezo, you're brilliant!" the Doctor recalled the last time they were in the TARDIS, where he tested the gem with the Sonic Screwdriver. Back then, the gem had created a slight distortion of space-time
He rummaged around in his coat pockets for the gem, pulling out all sorts of odd items, trinkets and other knick-knacks from them in the process, including things like a wooden recorder, a small sprig of celery with a pin through it, a pair of spoons, a cat-shaped badge and an ancient-looking, half eaten bag of jelly babies which was still edible for some reason. Minutes later, he triumphantly pulled out the gem, together with his screwdriver, "Everyone, I'm afraid I'll have to use the sonic again. Try to figure out a way to cover your ears while holding tight to something, OK?"

Everyone except the Doctor and Mataima freed a hand to clamp onto their ears, while keeping the other firmly wrapped around the pillars. Mataima simply held to the pillar with his scarf and used both hands to cover his ears, earning a muttered "Show off" from his younger brother. The Time Lord, however, had the gem on one hand and the screwdriver on the other.

Tenyou narrowed her eyes, "Wait, you're going to test it out right away?! Doctor, are you sure this will work?"

"I have no idea! That's why I have to find out! Trust me, I'm the Doctor!" te twisted the screwdriver a number of times, pressed it firmly against the gem, then switched it on.

------------
For the third time of the day, the sound of the sonic again screeched through the air, this time gradually getting louder and louder. Both the gem and the screwdriver glowed fiercely, and they shook uncontrollably as a wild surge of energy coursed through them. The Time Lord gritted his teeth and focused on keeping the two items firmly pressed against each other, ignoring the sheer pain from his eardrums and the TARDIS' violent shaking.

"Almost therejust a little bit more of power" he kept an eye on the readings of the screwdriver, waiting for the exact moment when the device had just stored enough energy without overloading, "Aaaaand NOW!!" He dropped the gem back into a pocket, then slammed the screwdriver into a hatch on the control panel. There was a loud whirring sound and the pumps in the main console started to move as the TARDIS drew power from the device. The liquid within it now glowed with a deep red similar to the gem's, tinting the entire room with it.

Hearing the screeching die down, the group gingerly uncovered their ears. "Doctor? Did it work?" Tenyou asked nervously.

The Time Lord couldn't hear her, since he was busy dashing around the control panel, pressing buttons, turning dials, flicking switches and reading screens here and there. He rambled to himself, speaking faster and faster as he went, "Now that I've got the TARDIS juiced up with all that power from the gem, all I have to do is to activate thisadd a bit of thatamplify and channel all that energy to break through this matrixno wait THIS one, there we go!set the coordinates juuust right"

"Doctor!"

"Eh? Wha? Oh right. What is it?"

"Is the plan working?"

The Doctor placed a hand firmly on a red lever on the control panel and grinned excitedly, "Good question, and I'm going to find the answer right now! TARDIS old girl, do your thing! ALLONS-Y~!!!" with a leap, he pulled down the lever sharply. Then he held tight to the controls, on the lookout for any unexpected outcomes.

The pumps in the main console moved even more vigourously, and the red liquid started to flash. Bolts of electricity crackled within, rapidly travelling upwards. The Doctor could easily feel the time-space around him distort, rippling and tearing as a vortex began to form. He punched the air, laughing like a maniac with an air of childishness, "It worked! IT WORKED! HOHYES IT WORKED!"

"It did?!!" the rest of the group gathered around the Time Lord, who pulled up a screen showing the view outside the TARDIS. Above the blue box, a small tear first appeared suspended in thin air. It rapidly expanded, gaining in size until it resembled a giant gash in the air, with dark, swirling colours within it. Afterwards, the gash began to draw in everything around it, whipping up powerful gusts of wind and uprooting trees. The Angels stopped their assault on the TARDIS and tried to escape, but they couldn't outrun the vortex. As the vortex's strength intensified, the statues were helplessly dragged into the gap.

Back in the TARDIS, the Doctor leaned back and crossed his arms while wearing a smug expression, "Look, there they go! Right into the rift! They won't be bothering us now!" everyone cheered, relieved that they could stop the Angels before they devastate the rest of the universe. Well, everyone except Rezo. While he was just as overjoyed, something didn't feel right. He cleared his throat, "Guys, is it me, or is the TARDIS moving?"

The Time Lord frowned, looking puzzled, "Moving? But I didn't set the TARDIS to teleport" everyone looked at the screen once more. The TARDIS was floating in mid-air, being slowly pulled towards the vortex.

"Nonononononononono!" the Doctor yelped, and ran off to the other side of the control panel, "I almost forgot! The vortex draws in everything, including us! And to make matters worse, I have no idea where the vortex leads to!" he tried to regain control of the spaceship, sweat trickling down his forehead, "Come on TARDIS, you can do it!"

The TARDIS tossed and turned as it resisted the pull of the rift. Inside the spaceship, sirens were going off all over the place. The Time Lord flicked a number of switches, entered a new set of coordinates, and once again pulled the lever.
The spaceship's engines roared to life, with the same all-too-familiar wooshing sound. It managed to teleport away at the nick of time, right before it enters the rift.

Moments later, the wooshing sound died down and the TARDIS slowly came to a stop. Rezo opened the door and scanned the surroundings, holding the door ajar. Everything, from the trees to the jumble of houses nearby, were as familiar to him as the back of his hand, "We'rewe're back in Shimizu village."

Donders assume that Taiko is a strict progression from Kantan to Oni,but actually from a non-linear,non-subjective viewpoint it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly drummy-beatystuff
