"It's always nice to have a quiet morning for once, huh," Ryougen mused to herself as she walked in the woods near Shimizu village. Ever since she and her friends thwarted Joubutsu and Shimedore's plans to destroy the world, Shimizu village was noisy with activity: Reuniting with Senpuu, completing with one very thrilled Tenyou; Chatting with people she met during the journey; Dealing with the media; Fixing up mishaps such as a drunk KiSai waging war on Sorouban because of a poker game("Turning back to normal didn't affect his drinking habits one bit" She thought) or Kidaruma just being KidarumaAfter all that buzz, it seemed a bit odd to see the village being so quiet, even peaceful.
Tenyou was still very excited to see Senpuu come back, and was now busy chattering with her. Rezo was in his room, trying to figure out how to open a portal or something. Ryougen once tried to help, but Rezo had told her not to do so just yet, lest something goes wrong and result to stuff like her getting genderbent or summoning some elderich abomination. She knew this was one of those times when Rezo was being serious instead of just goofing around, so she decided to leave him be and go practice her signature move: The Zeami beam.
Well, that sure sounds rather boring right?Since she has just defeated two big bads alre-
Ryougen glared at the fourth wall,"It's called being prepared, and please get on with the plot."
Heh,sorry.ANYWAYS.After a few more minutes of walking, the dancer arrived at a small clearing."Perfect," she took a deep breath, closed her eyes and focused, mentally recalling her song. Red and blue flames started to float around her, gaining in size
*BOOM!*
The ground suddenly trembled, knocking Ryougen out from her trance. Her eyes snapped open, and she saw smoke trailing out from within the woods. Something has crashed into the woods. "Oh well, there goes my training," the dancer shrugged, then headed towards the crash.
She had already seen quite a lot of strange things during her long journey, but Ryougen couldn't help but stare dumbfoundly at the crash site. There was a rather large blue box standing in the middle of a small crater created by the impact, and trees lay splintered and burnt around it. The box was still smoking slightly, but aside from a few scratches and singed wood, it was undamaged. There was a light of sorts on the top of the box, and the four sides were similarily designed-divided in the middle, with windows and panels like a pair of doors. Only one side actually functioned as doors though, judging from the metal doorknob affixed on them. There were also signs, one black, long rectangular sign above the doors and another white, square one on one of the doors. She could see English symbols on them, and she mentally scolded herself for not learning how to read English yet.
Suddenly one of the doors swung open, and clouds of smoke billowed out, almost choking Ryougen who tried her best to fan away the fumes. A body fell out from inside the box, then the door quickly closed and locked with a click. Ryougen lightly prodded the figure, then carefully turned him over so he lay on his back. He was still alive, but unconcious, and he wore a pinstriped suit as well as a long brown coat, both scruffed yet undamaged. Ryougen was still a bit dazed from what just happened, but she knew he needed help. She hoisted the body on her back, then made a dash back to Shimizu village.
-----------------------
When Ryougen made it back to the village, she found Rezo still inside the village hall, or more specifically near the closed portal. The door-shaped portal was flanked by sculptures shaped like the Four Mythical Beasts, and in front of them stood a raised altar. Rezo was stooped over the altar, his eyebrows furrowed in deep thought as he continued to ponder how to open the portal.
Ryougen knocked at the door, "Rezo?"
Rezo's head perked up in attention, "Oh hey Ryougen, back so early? I thought you were out training."
"Well, not this time" she shifted the still-unconcious figure around on her back, silently grumbling about how unusually heavy he was for a chibianthro, "I've found this cat fainted somewhere in the woods, he needs medical attention, and fast."
Rezo quickly glanced over the body, and nodded, "Alright, bring him to my room, I'll go get Senpuu," he then hurried out from the hall, leaving Ryougen to carry the figure to Rezo's house.
Soon, Senpuu caught wind of the situation, and went off to check on the stranger. She slipped into the room and quietly shut the door, so that she won't accidentally wake him up.
The stranger was lying on Rezo's bed, still knocked out cold. He stirred slightly every now and then, but remained fast asleep. His cat ears were flicked to the side, but his brown hair and sideburns remained stuck up in messy, gravity-defying spikes.
A quick go-through with Senpuu's magic confirmed that the stranger was uninjured, although he was fatigued and had some smoke in his lungs which needed time to dissipate. His breathing was a bit shallow, but otherwise more or less normal. Senpuu then placed an ear over the stranger's chest, and closed her eyes as she focused on listening to his heartbeat.
Dun dun dun dun
Dun dun dun dun
Senpuu's eyes snapped open in surprise. Instead of the usual "Lub dub, lub dub" heart beat she had expected to hear, she heard a four-beat pattern, as if there were two sets of heartbeats played out alternatively.
She rubbed her head, trying to make some sense over that. It couldn't be true, this contradicts with one of the most basic facts regarding chibianthro anatomy! There's no way that the cat in front of her could have!
Yet the evidence was as clear as day; she had heard those hearts beating in his chest with her very ears.
She gulped, what should she tell Rezo? And whono, -what-, is this stranger?

Stillhazy
The TARDISI knew she often acted up from time to time, but this was differentthis wasn't quite like something I had experienced before, which was unusual since I had travelled with her for more than 900 years by now
Am I in a different planet-no,dimensiona parallel unive-OWWWWWW!
A splitting headache jolted the Doctor awake from his thoughts. He was lying in bed inside a small room, without much furniture aside from the bed, a wardrobe and a drawer beside the bed. The Doctor tried to massage his temples, he had to focus
Wait. He couln't reach his head.
"What?!" he looked down at his arms, which were now much smaller than a normal human's. It lacked any fingers, instead ending with a rounded stump. Yet it felt flexible, as if it was a normal hand. "What?!!"
His legs looked similar to his arms, and overall he was much smaller than a human. He was also covered with a coat of very fine, beige-coloured fur. "WHAT?!!!"
The Doctor began to check his new appearance, mumbling absentmindly in the process, "Limbs are shortbody's shortbut my head feels as big as the rest of my bodyoh HEY I get to keep my clothes! And there you are, my Sonic Screwdriver, still in the same pocket! Now let's see if I can hol-oh OH that's how it works, it holds onto my hand like that! Brilliant! My face, my facegood, there's this conveniently placed washbasin here, now to take a looksame brown spiky hair (still not ginger though, argh!), same brown eyes but much larger than usualWaitaminute, how on earth did I get those animal ears?"
He immediately shut up when he heard the door being opened. In stepped three figures, all the same size and proportions as he was. One had large dragon-like ears with bells dangling beneath them, and a long red cape outlined with yellow. The other was light blue with brown dog-like ears, and she was wearing a white cape with a blue design on it. They were talking with the last figure, a cat wearing a red jacket, and sporting a pair of red-lensed goggles on his head. The Doctor resisted the urge to laugh,"Why do people like wearing those silly goggles anyways, we all know they do nothing," he thought.
The goggle-wearing cat waved at him, "Hey there, Ryougen told me what happened. Feeling better after a whole night's sleep?" the Doctor nodded, though he was still feeling a bit woozy. Surprising, he thought, considering how often he ends up crashing the TARDIS, he should be used to this by now,
"Uh yes I suppose I'm fine. Or at least as fine as one can be after getting his blue box crashed in the middle of nowhere, finding himself transformed into some talking animal-like creature and being rescued by other similar talking animal-like creatures. Well, I've been turned into a human temporarily before using the Chameleon Archspeaking of which is this its handiwork-er wait scrap that my memories are all intact, it's not the Arch. Good! I'm still me! Anyways, this is certainly something new since I no longer look like a human! Brilliant! Still feels strange though, like I've just eaten a pear or something. Ugh, I hate pears, never liked their taste. Now bananas are different, they're good, jam-packed with nutrients!"
The three only stared at the Doctor in confusion, trying to catch on the strings of words tumbling out from his mouth in 100 miles per hour. He flicked at his sideburns, slightly embarassed, "Whoops, am I rambling again? Normally somebody would have cut me off way before I went on for too long."
The cat sighed, then asked the blue figure, "How was he, Senpuu? Noticed anything unusual?"
Senpuu answered, "He wasn't injured, the coma was due to fatigue and breathing in too much smoke. But when I did a body check, I found something odd."
"Odd? Really?"
"Yes, Rezo. When I checked his heartbeat, It sounded very weird. I thinkI think he's got two hearts." Senpuu was still a bit unsure if it's the right thing to do, but she figured that Rezo had the right to know the truth.
Rezo gawked at Senpuu, who nodded slowly. He had known Senpuu for many years, and Senpuu rarely ever lied to anyone, much less to her sisters or to himself. That means what she had just said, no matter how unbelievable it sounds like, was true. He then stared at the stranger on the bed. On the outside, the cat looked just the same as any other chibianthro, surely he couldn't havenever mind. He shook his head, then spoke with a warm smile, "Well, even if the arrival seems rather odd, a visitor is still a visitor. Welcome to Shimizu village! Care to stay for a while?"
"Erm" thoughts raced through the Doctor's mind. He was still exhausted, but he needed to see what's wrong with the TARDIS
"It won't take long! Also, we've got the tea brewi-"
The Doctor quickly leapt out from the bed. He could check on the TARDIS later, it's always tea first!
